Therapy Centres at Different Art Centre (DAC) dedicated to the differently abled community.

The state-of-the-art therapy centres unveiled at Universal Empowerment Centre (UEC) premises. UEC is the integral part of DAC to enable employment opportunities to the differently abled.

In connection with the World Health Day celebrations at DAC, various health related initiatives, events and seminars were conducted along with the inauguration of the Therapy Centres. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Sensory Therapy, Speech and Audio therapy, Virtual Reality and Dental Therapy  have been made functional under one roof to facilitate all the therapy needs for the differently abled children.

Mr. A.N. Shamseer, Honorable speaker of Kerala inaugurated the Integrated Therapy Centre by lamp-lighting. In the inaugural speech Sri. Shamseer told “DAC has made an outstanding task by sensitizing the normal community to eradicate the attitude of separating differently abled from the main stream”. He further added, “using the artistic talents of the differently abled, nurturing the people & subsequently making them self-sufficient is probably a world-class moral to everyone to follow”. 

Dr.M.K.Muneer, MLA presided the function and shared his initiatives towards differently abled, when he was the minister for social welfare. 

Dr. Shyam Prasad, a victim of cerebral palsy, who is working as Assistant Professor in Central University of Kerala delivered a motivational speech in the function. During his speech, he has emphasized that the differently abled people do not require any sympathy or consideration from the normal people and they have the complete rights to live with social inclusion.  


On the stage, Sri. Harikumar, Managing Director of Elite Group, Dr. Farhan Yasin, Regional Director of Aster Health Care, Sri. M.A.Mohammed Ashraf, Chairman of Shahi Nobility Trust and IDA President of Kerala Dr. Shibu Rajagopal are honored by Mr. Shamseer.

Mrs. Sooryambika and Mrs. Shyamila Ajims also honored by Dr. M.K. Muneer for scripting good consolation letters to the mothers of the differently abled as a part of a campaign to stress release for the mothers.

Sri. Gopinath Muthukad, Executive Director of DAC and Dr. Marykutty, Linguistic of DAC have represented the event with welcome speech and vote of thanks respectively.
