Parliamentary Committee Members Praise the Model of Different Art Centre

Thiruvananthapuram: Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment have highly praised the innovative model of the Different Art Centre (DAC). A delegation of 18 members of Parliament and officials visited the Centre to witness performances by differently abled children and observe the facilities designed to foster their holistic development.

The committee, chaired by P.C. Mohan, included MPs such as Vijayalakshmi Devi, Adv. Priya Saroj, E.T. Mohammed Basheer, Murari Lal Meena, Bhaskar Murlidhar Bhagre, Bhojraj Nag, Rajkumar Rawat, Sumitra Balmik, P.T. Usha, Narayan Koragappa, Niranjan Bishi, Ramji, Maheswaran V.S., Abdul Wahab, Chinthamani Maharaj, and Anup Pradhan Balmiki, along with protocol officers and other officials. The team visited the DAC and was deeply impressed by the artistic abilities and creative potential of the differently abled children showcased at the Centre.

Speaking about the initiative, P.C. Mohan described the Different Art Centre as an eye-opening institution. "It is only through unwavering dedication and commitment that such a remarkable venture can be led successfully. We wholeheartedly appreciate Gopinath Muthukad's efforts and commitment in spearheading this initiative. Visiting DAC has been a truly meaningful experience," he said.

The delegation unanimously admired the Centre, describing it as a one-of-a-kind project. They praised the efforts to identify and nurture the talents of differently abled children, proving their creative brilliance to society. The team, which arrived at the Centre in the evening, was warmly welcomed by the children and the Executive Director of DAC, Gopinath Muthukad. The visitors watched performances across various venues, appreciated the children's efforts, and extended their heartfelt congratulations before departing.
