Motherly Grace in Dance Brilliance; Different Art Centre Shines with Elegant Performance

Thiruvananthapuram: Different Art Centre lit up with the brilliance of dance presented by Bollywood dancer Swetha Warrier and her mother Ambika Warasiar. The duo, mother and daughter, captivated the audience with their powerful and graceful performance, earning enthusiastic applause.

Swetha's unique dance composition, "Street O Classical," which blends Bharatanatyam with the street style of hip-hop, won hearts across the audience. Her mother, Ambika Warasiar, also delivered an equally mesmerizing performance, making the Mother’s Day celebration at the Centre truly special.

The event was held at the Fantasia Auditorium of Magic Planet, where Swetha and Ambika Warasiar jointly lit the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the function. Swetha remarked during the opening speech that the Different Art Centre showcases artists who perform purely out of passion, without any selfish motives or expectations. Ambika Warasiar added that the Centre is home to mothers who embody the strength and completeness of true motherhood.

The event was presided over by Different Art Centre Director Shyla Thomas, and Executive Director Gopinath Muthukad honored Swetha and Ambika with a traditional shawl ceremony. Charisma President Seema Murali delivered the welcome address, and Secretary Sumayya offered the vote of thanks.

The celebrations continued with various cultural performances led by the Charisma collective of the Centre.
