MIND's fourth session conducted on Monday, 07 September through a video conference. The guest was Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, a prominent playback singer and an expert in a rare musical instrument, Gayatriveena. The session was highly interesting and communicative for the DAC students.
Vijayalakshmi has a deep knowledge in classical rendering and has performed many of her popular songs for our students. She interacted about her entry to music and cinema fields. She explained about her practice sessions to the children along with a performance using Gayatriveena. Many of our students with singing abilities also performed during the session.
The programme was also attended by Gopinath Muthukad, Chandrasenan Mithirmala and DAC staff members.
