Kaithapram's heartwarming musical performance at Different Art Centre

Renowned musician Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri recently delighted the differently-abled children at the Different Art Centre with a special music program. As part of the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the event showcased the incredible talents of children like Srikanth, who is visually impaired, and Rahul, who is intellectually disabled.

During the performance, the children surprised Kaithapram by singing his challenging composition "Devasabhathalam." The heartfelt rendition left everyone in awe, prompting Kaithapram, along with playback singers Arundhathi, Bhavana Radhakrishnan, and KK Nishad, to stand up and express their congratulations. Kaithapram praised the children as stars who deserve admiration.

A special highlight of the event was the live creation of the song "Makkale...Ponnumakkale" by Kaithapram for the children. KK Nishad arranged and sang the song in Mohana raagam, creating a musical feast for the audience. Bhavana Radhakrishnan, Arundhathi, and KK Nishad also sang various other songs for the children.

The concert, held with the joint patronage of Different Art Centre, the British Malayali Charity Foundation, and Shan Properties, was not only a musical delight but also a heartwarming display of support for differently-abled children. During the ceremony, funds collected under the auspices of the British Malayali Charity Foundation were handed over by Kaithapram to Gopinath Muthukad, Executive Director, Different Art Centre. Shajan Skaria, Paul Karukappillil, and others participated in the event, which also featured art programs by the differently-abled children and the selection of a Christmas friend as part of the festive celebrations.
