International research conference for young researchers started at Different Art Centre

A two-day international research conference organized to inculcate research interest among students and mold talented scientists has started at Different Art Centre. The conference is organized under the joint auspices of Scientia under Different Art Centre, Global Young Researchers Academy(GYRA) and STEM4Girls.

Around 500 people, including students up to senior secondary level, teachers, and researchers from different parts of India are participating in the conference. The conference provides an opportunity to present the research results prepared by the children and to share experiences and interact with the experts in the respective fields.

Space Scientist Nambi Narayanan inaugurated the conference. “Today there are many facilities and opportunities for the new generation to enter the field of research. If children take advantage of such opportunities, they can create a generation of proud achievers in the field of science.”, said Nambi Narayanan. He emphasized that parents and teachers should not ignore the scientific interests of children and give them due consideration.

During his speech, Nambi Narayanan shared the story about his entry into the field of science and his scientific experiences in school and college life with the children. 

Gopinath Muthukad, the Executive Director of Differential Art Centre, handed over the conference's handbook to Dr. Praveen Vemula, the representative of the Bangalore National Center for Biological Sciences, during the event. 

Raina Raphy, the representative of STEM4Girls, Shyla Thomas, member of the Advisory Board at Differential Art Centre, and Ranjitha Krishna, the representative of Global Young Researchers Academy, spoke during the event.

Keynote addresses, plenary and lectures by scientists from various foreign universities will also be held at various venues. 

    

The conference will end on Sunday, 23 July. In the concluding ceremony of the event happening at 4pm, Dr. M.C. Dathan, the Scientific Advisor to the Chief Minister, will be the chief guest. Gopinath Muthukad will preside over the ceremony. Other participants include Self Improvement Hub's Director, Anto Michael, Dr. Ranju Joseph and Raina Raphy.
