Hope Print - Sublimation Unit Inaugurated at Different Art Centre

Thiruvananthapuram: To enhance the vocational skills of differently-abled individuals, a Hope Print—Sublimation Unit was inaugurated at the Different Art Centre in Kazhakoottam. The inauguration was led by Disability Commissioner Dr. P.T. Baburaj, who emphasized that success in life is achieved through relentless efforts to turn ideas into reality. He praised the center's efforts in empowering differently-abled individuals and described them as commendable and exemplary during his inaugural speech.


Different Art Centre Executive Director Gopinath Muthukad presided over the event. The ceremony also honored Ananya Bijesh, recipient of the Sarvshresth Divyangjan Award 2024, and Ragesh Krishnan, a cerebral palsy-affected filmmaker known for directing the movie Kalam @ 24. DAC Intervention Director Dr. Anil Nair delivered the welcome address, while Prism Psychologist Shanthikrishna proposed the vote of thanks.

The sublimation unit specializes in designing and printing images based on customer requirements on T-shirts, caps, ceramic mugs, and other items. It is managed by differently abled individuals who have undergone training at the Different Art Centre. This initiative is a significant step toward empowering the differently abled community by providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and achieve self-reliance.
