Gopinath Muthukad's 'Inclusive India' awareness program for the differently-abled community had an enthusiastic start in Kanyakumari. Sunday morning, the journey began with N. Dalavai Sundaram MLA flagging off in front of the Gandhi Mandapam. It's essential to elevate the differently-abled community to mainstream society, and the MLA hoped that through this Bharat Yatra by Mr. Muthukad, it will be recognized that India also belongs to the differently-abled.

The first awareness event of the Bharat Yatra took place at the Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education campus (NICHE) in Kumaracoil. Kanyakumari Collector Alagumeena IAS inaugurated the event. It was organized under the support of NICHE, with NICHE Pro Chancellor M.S. Faisal Khan, NICHE Registrar Dr. P. Thirumavalavan, and Different Art Centre Executive Director Gopinath Muthukad participating.

The session, filled with the audience at NICHE, saw Mr. Muthukad presenting the first program of Inclusive India. The audience enthusiastically received the awareness program, crafted by Gopinath Muthukad and the differently-abled children from the Different Art Centre. The thematic magic awareness program titled "Watch Your Watch" elaborately discussed the responsibilities and duties society should uphold in disability. At the same time, a motivational video starring people from the differently-abled community further energized the viewers.

The team, including Muthukad and seven members, headed to Karnataka in the evening as part of the next leg of the journey. Over 40 venues across the country will host the awareness events. The main center's will also feature performances by differently abled children from the Different Art Centre. The journey is scheduled to conclude in Delhi on December 3rd, World Disability Day.
