Well-known motivational speaker, magician and UNICEF ambassador Gopinath Muthukad was declared the brand ambassador for “Child-friendly Kerala” project. This was announced by K K Shailaja Teacher, Kerala Minister for Health and Social Welfare during a function held on Tuesday, 20 October 2020, in Thiruvanathapuram.

She stressed that the “Child-friendly Kerala” project formed under the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights is now capable of bigger steps. “Sporadic Incidents of attacks on children and denial of their rights have been reported even in a civilized state like Kerala.  A widespread awareness campaign on child rights and justice within the wide society is essential to counter this. The extensive marketing plan envisaged for the project will suffice this.”, she added.

Manoj Kumar, chairman of Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

The chairman lauded Gopinath Muthukad’s willingness to cooperate with the project without expecting any return. C. Vijayakumar, Commission member and Biju Prabhakar IAS, Special Secretary, Women Welfare Department also attended the event.
