Different Art Centre Shines in Graphic Designing

Thiruvananthapuram: The differently-abled students of the Different Art Centre were recently honored for successfully completing the Graphics Design and Editing course offered by Toonz Animations. The passing-out ceremony for the second batch was inaugurated by Kerala University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal. In his address, he praised the centre for bringing differently-abled individuals into the mainstream and giving visibility to their talents. He added that anyone wanting to experience a place full of creativity and joy only needs to see the students at DAC in action.

The ceremony was chaired by Vinod A.S., Vice President of Toonz Animations Academics and Training, with Father Vipin Cheradatil, Director of Kalagram, as the chief guest. Certificates were awarded to students who excelled in various art courses, as well as those who achieved academic milestones in SSLC and Plus Two exams. The event was attended by Toonz Academy trainer Shemin S., DAC Intervention Director Dr. Anilkumar Nair, HR Manager Kavitha, and others.

Launched in 2024, the course is a joint initiative of the Different Art Centre and Toonz Animations to develop employable skills among differently-abled children and improve their career opportunities. Many students from the first batch are now employed across various organizations. After eight months of rigorous training, the second batch, consisting of 19 students, has successfully completed the program.
