Different Art Centre paved the way for a union of two differently-abled talents in performing art forms.

A few days ago Different Art Centre (DAC) witnessed a memorable event, where two differently-abled talents unitedly amazed the audience with their art form. Kumari. Kanmani, a physically challenged girl who secured the first rank in BA (Music) along with Kumari. Ruksana Anwar, a DAC student with an intellectual disability rocked the stage with a stunning musical performance. Kanmani has released the cover song of the album “ Chinna Chinna Aasai”, the combination of the violin performances delivered by Ruksana. Their joint performances in connection with the function made surprised the audience. The song ‘ Sreeragamo’ sung by Kanmani and ‘ Chinna Chinna Aasai’ a violin performance played by Ruksana through violin has won hearts.

Ruksana, who has been with DAC has already made violin compositions for many songs and reached the audience with big acceptance. In the event, Kanmani appealed to all the parents of differently abled, not to become worried for their children and explore all the possibilities to bring the children to the mainstream of life. A collective WILLPOWER makes the surprises in this differently-abled community, Kanmani added. She also pointed out her happiness to release the cover song of Ruksana’s album on her birthday.

At the event, Kanmani was honoured by Sugatavanam Charitable Society and Sri. Gopinath Muthukad, ED of Magic planet tendered the honour to Kanmani. The event was blessed with a memorable musical feast through Smt. Rajalakshmi, a reputed playback singer and Sri. Anwar Sadath, father of Ruksana, a known singer.

Sri.L. Sugathan, chairman of Sugathavanam Charitable Trust, Smt. Sumayya, mother of Ruksana and Sri. Biju Raj also was present at the event. The event is further glorified with the Birthday celebrations of Ruksana.
