DAC children voyaged to meet the President of India

The Minister for Social Security, Dr. R. Bindu, gave the formal send-off to the differently abled children from the Different Art Centre (DAC), who had voyaged to meet the President of India in New Delhi.

The minister reached Thiruvananthapuram Airport this morning to meet the children with gift packets and sweets and shared her happiness with the differently abled children who all go to meet the Honourable President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu.

Dr. Bindhu said at Airport, Differently abled community should not be isolated in any form and they always should be considered an integral part of our normal life. Sri. Gopinath Muthukad’s initiative will extend its footprints to other parts of the country as well and this program will help to attain such goals.

Ms. Lakshmi Maria, Regional Manager of Akbar Travels also was present at the function to wish the children.

Honourable President will meet the children on 27th August 2022 at 12 PM. The team was led by Sri. Gopinath Muthukad, Executive Director of DAC will reach Rashtrapathi Bhavan on 27th as programmed.

While meeting the President, the children from DAC will perform art forms also before the Honourable President.

In connection with the glorious event, the national capital is going to hit with an art fest ‘Empowering with love’ which will occur at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre on the 26th evening at 6 PM. Differently abled children at DAC go to rock with performances including magic, music, singing and dance. The eternal art fest sustains for one and a half hours, definitely attracting all the invited guests and the audience. Union Ministry of Social Justice extended all the support to have this art fest in New Delhi.

‘Empowering with Love’ will be flagged off by the Union Minister for the state, Sri. V. Muraleedharan in the presence of the Nobel Prize winner Sri. Kailas Sathyarthi.  Sri. Kurian Joseph, Former Justice of the Supreme Court will deliver the introductory speech. Sri. Alphonse Kannanthanam, Former union minister of state will present the welcome speech and Sri. Babu Panicker convey the vote of thanks. Dr. K.C. George will preside over the inaugural ceremonies.
