World Mental Health Day took center stage at the Different Art Centre, Trivandrum, thanks to the efforts of the Prism Integrated Habilitation and Virtual Reality Centre. The event featured a thought-provoking keynote address by the renowned social activist, Nisha Jose. Through a combination of engaging activities and heartfelt stories, the significance of mental health and this year's theme, emphasizing WHO's concept of Mental Health as a Universal Right, was effectively conveyed to the audience.
In the spirit of celebration, the day included a series of art and literature competitions tailored for the mothers of differently-abled children, aiming to recognize their creative talents. Nisha Jose had the honor of awarding prizes to the winners of these competitions, which added an extra layer of excitement to the event. The crowd was also treated to a thought-provoking video presentation showcasing public comments and suggestions on the topic of mental health. The event was presided over by Gopinath Muthukad, Executive Director, Different Art Centre, accompanied by Sunilraj C K, Manager - Different Art Centre.
