A total of 101 disabled adolescents and young people were
assessed at the Child Development centre. The assessment comprised of recording
the socio-demographic profile of the participants, two levels of medical
assessments, as well as psychological assessment of the participants and their
primary caregiver. Medical evaluations and necessary laboratory investigations
were also conducted, and necessary interventions and referral services were
advised for the needy.
A comparison was made between the participant’s baseline assessment (prior to starting training) and assessment done one month after completion of the program, in adaptive functioning.
